Been going to this restaurant since for 8 years on and off and I can still safely say that it is the best Japanese restaurant in the area. It's a family owned business, with great food, and quality ingredients. Portion sizes may be smaller than other locations but the quality makes up for it. I've always ordered chicken udon every visit and theirs is still the best tasting and most consistent around.

This place is pretty average. The Agedashi tofu was not good and came out really hard. While the service seemed quite eager to please and the fried noodle dish was decent and the sushi was average, the sticky table which clung to your hands and the odd smell which permeated the restaurant made this in the end, probably just a one-time visit for a good long time to come.
Which is too bad because a few years back I ordered take-out from here before, and that was mostly fine. Sigh I guess this is why this place really doesn't have very many customers. -

I found this restaurant to have really small portions and expensive food for mediocre taste. The rolls barely had any fillings. The waitress was very feiendly but dissapointing food. One of the dishes, a chopped scallop roll barely had any fillings that the rice was rolled in

Decided to check out Hanano as Fuji has closed and Sushi California was super busy. Its quiet, def not as packed as Sushi California. There was one server on board taking care of the whole resturant ( very slow service). Very different compared to The hustle and bustle of Sushi California. There was no "pan friend" food -- not sure the reason so some things off the menu could not be ordered.
Prices here are average to above average, some things are more then your average sushi on a budget place. gomae is $4.50, Ebisunomo is $4.50? some rolls were $3.00? depending and some were around $10 (Special ones)
Review-Negitoro Roll-- There was barely any toro in it-- all green onion.. :( -all mush
Salmon Avocado Roll- Pretty good, would order again altho not as much salmon inside
Mango Roll- Yum,, would order again
Appy Sashimi// The fish didnt seem fresh, the hokkigai looked super dry, tuna was still frozen :( salmon was okay.
Lots of free parking , if you decide you want to leave or you are not full theres a Thai resturant, Fish and Chips , Korean, Pub , even McDonalds next door.
Fyi: They do not take American Express -

This was the worst and over priced Japanese food I pretty much have ever eaten. The deep fried gyoza were tiny and were like something you would heat in your oven from Costco (only Costco would be better). The deep fried california roll was disgusting. It had a mayo sauce that resembled White Spots Triple O sauce. The udon was underdone. The spider roll had way too much weird sauce on it. The lady that served us was lovely...but the food was terrible. Will never set foot in this establishment again.
